The Navy has rolled out a two-step resolution process for housing residents with issues or concerns. The new process impacts all Navy housing categories: privatized housing, community housing, government-owned or -leased housing, family housing and unaccompanied housing. Residents are to first contact their local housing manager and then elevate their concerns to the next level if their problems haven’t been addressed. For example, those in privatized housing should contact their local property manager first. If the issue is not resolved, residents are then asked to contact either their local Navy Housing Service Center (HSC), which reports directly to the installation commanding officer, or the service member’s chain of command.
